Sylvestre Gauvrit was born in a forest of ancient oaks prior to the 1980s.
As a child, he spent most of his time climbing trees and observing nature, while later in life he traveled the world surfing waves.
Sylvestre possessed a natural inclination towards sculpture and could always be found with tools in hand and his imagination running wild.
He received his education at the Accademia Belle Arti of Carrara and went on to work in various institutional art studios in Pietrasanta, honing his skills in carving monumental marble pieces. Eventually, he established his own studio to create his unique sculptures that now grace both public and private collections in major cultural centers across the globe, including Paris, London, Rome, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, and Dubai.
